How can an entity request training?

As the NCI Academy is customer funded, each customer must require a contractual agreement before training can be provided. To this end, the NCI Academy has developed an agreement specifically for training, the Service Support Training (SST) Package. The aim of the SST is to provide required funding and delivery flexibility and to streamline the delivery management between the customer and provider at the lowest eligible decision-making level. An example SST is available on request. Further details on how to do business with the NCI Academy can be found in the Course Catalogue. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

How do I sign up training?

The Invitation to Submit NCI Academy Training Bids (Bidding Letter) is issued every year to customers and provides guidance on how to request training from the NCI Academy.

Customers are asked to submit the bidding through the Training Management System (TMS) before 1 June, through their designated training coordinators. Course requirements received after 1 June will be built into the plan whenever possible and can have impact on course plan. Training coordinators are asked to ensure that their organizations’ point of contact details are accurate as they are used in the Service Support Training (SST) Agreement.

Customers are reminded that training delivery by the NCI Academy is fully customer funded, as per the terms and conditions agreed to in the SST Agreement. In addition, the NCI Academy no longer requires the Customer Request Form for catalogue listed services in support of bidding and customers are not subject to the contract management fee.

Instructions on how to submit the training demand are available by accessing the TMS Help Section (Bidding and Demand video tutorial).

For customers who do not yet have a TMS account, please contact the NCI Academy Business Team for support.
