Where are you located?
The NCI Academy has its main facility in Oeiras, Portugal. Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the facility was designed from the outset to be a capability focused on education and individual training delivery. The academic facilities include:
- Laboratories and classrooms designed to accommodate up to 10,000 students yearly;
- Training facilities equipped with every Command Control Communications Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) system that NATO currently employs and can accommodate any new systems planned for delivery;
- Over 110 staff and instructors to support Academy students;
- A 256-seat auditorium for complementary learning events, a library and research facilities.
The NCI Academy also has permanent training rooms located in Mons, Brussels and Braine l’Alleud, Belgium and The Hague, Netherlands.
Education and training is also offered at students’ location through mobile training teams, on-demand and live online training. The NCI Academy Learning Environment allows students to connect and access systems and resources, including interaction with instructors and peers from where needed.

What training do you provide?
The NCI Academy delivers essential NATO technical, operational and managerial education and training in cyberspace domains. With a vision to reinforce NATO’s technological edge through excellence in cyberspace learning, we offer education and training on Communication and Deployable Systems, Command and Control and Functional Services and Cyber.
We also offer training and education to NCIA Staff in support of professional and personal development, and post or mission specific requirements.

When requested, the NCI Academy also design and develop new learning solutions, by conducting thorough training need analysis and leveraging the latest learning technology.

How to sign up for training?
If you work for the NATO Command Structure, NATO and Force Structure, NATO Headquarters, other NATO bodies, Allied Nations, Partner Nations or other entities with a Service Support Training (SST) Agreement with the NCI Academy you can sign up for education and training via your training coordinator. If you do not know your training coordinator or need further details regarding education and training administration please contact [email protected].
If you are an entity without a SST Agreement with the NCI Academy and would like to establish one, please contact [email protected].

How to request a service as a Training Coordinator?
The Invitation to Submit NCI Academy Training Bids (Bidding Letter) is issued every year to customers and provides guidance on how to request training from the NCI Academy.
Designated training coordinators from the customer organizations are asked to submit the bidding through the Training Management System (TMS) before 1 June. Course requirements received after 1 June will be built into the plan whenever possible and may have impact on course plan.

Are there complementary learning events?
The NCI Academy organizes complementary learning events to enhance cyberspace knowledge transfer and development in a rapidly evolving environment through symposia, conferences, workshops, lectures and more, designed for particular audiences and communities of interest.
