The NATO Integrated Mobile Services Centre (NIMSC) Service Line connects the dots in space, in cyberspace, in the air, on land and at sea.
The NIMSC Mission enables secure and resilient data, voice and video communication services worldwide. We support deployed operations and exercises for NATO Joint Forces, and political consultations between NATO Headquarters and Nations.
The NIMSC Service Line is the largest unit in NCIA by personnel (over 300 employees), operating revenue (over 52 million EUR), and geographical footprint (15 locations).
We provide fundamental information technology services to NCIA, NATO and other customers. This includes services such as infrastructure storage and processing, communication and collaboration, web and information management and asset management. Our experts also deliver project management services, scientific expertise and communication information systems security.
Federated Mission Networking
NATO's Federated Mission Networking framework was designed to rapidly spin up and terminate mission networks to support coordinated operations.
The capability aims to support command and control and decision-making in future operations through improved information-sharing. It provides the agility, flexibility and scalability needed to manage the emerging requirements of any mission environment in future NATO operations. Federated Mission Networking is based on principles that include cost effectiveness and maximum reuse of existing standards and capabilities.
NCIA supports this capability by providing technical support, enabling Allied and Partner forces to communicate, train and operate together.
