Tech in focus: C-UAS - Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems

The NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCI Agency) hosted the NATO's Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) Technical Interoperability Exercise (TIE), in collaboration with the Netherlands Ministry of Defense from 13 to 23 September 2022.

With the exponential increase of commercial drone usage, TIE has been crucial in testing machine learning and artificial intelligence to keep the Alliance's airspace safe. With the help of over 30 companies and organizations, the exercise showcased how C-UAS from NATO Nations can communicate and work together using jamming technologies and drone hunters. These are essential technologies for the Alliances to identify and capture unauthorized drones detected in no-fly zones.

To learn more about C-UAS and other innovative technologies, join us for NATO Edge: Technology in Focus in Mons, Belgium on 25-27 October 2022.
