Video: Mission Report: Defending the High North

Air policing is a permanent peacetime mission for NATO, preserving security and integrity of Allied airspace. Regular exercises and training ensure that Allied air forces stand ready to react swiftly to possible airspace violations.

Different nations with different systems need one shared operational air picture.

At Kallax Air Base in northern Sweden, our NCIA reporter steps inside the Deployable Air Command and Control Centre and speaks with a Swedish pilot to explore how the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) supported secure communications, resilient networks and cyber defence capabilities, enabling Allied forces to operate and defend as one during Exercise Ramstein Flag 26. This is collective defence in action in the High North.
