NITECH magazine’s 14th edition spotlights Multi Domain Operations


The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) has released the 14th issue of its NATO Innovation and Technology (NITECH) magazine, marking the final edition of the magazine in this format.


In today’s complex geopolitical environment, NATO’s ability to operate across land, sea, air, cyber and space is critical to deterrence and defence, ensuring it maintains an operational advantage over adversaries is. This NITECH edition highlights Multi Domain Operations (MDO) and delves into how NCIA and partners are working to ensure a resilient digital backbone, technological edge and operational readiness. As NATO Deputy Secretary General, Radmila Shekerinska emphasizes in her foreword, “Unity is NATO’s greatest strength,” this final number is testament of it, with contributions from experts across the Alliance, industry partners and academia.

The magazine features a range of perspectives on the latest disruptive and emerging technologies, and capability delivery within MDO, including articles from NATO Support and Procurement Agency General Manager, Stacy Cummings, SHAPE Task Force Maven Director, Colonel Arnel David and Latvian Minister of Defence, Andris Sprūds, and many more.

This edition also features NCIA experts discussing the digital battlefield, Alliance networks and the multi-orbit advantage, as well as a special legacy article by Ludwig Decamps, who concluded his tenure as NCIA General Manager on 12 December 2025. Decamps shares a personal reflection on the growing relevance of industry partnership to accelerate technology adoption and innovation.
