NCIA Chief of Staff discusses cyber security at Warsaw Security Forum and Cyber24


On 29 September 2025, the NATO Communications and Information Agency’s (NCIA) Chief of Staff, Major General Krzysztof Kociuba participated in the Warsaw Security Forum, in Poland, followed by the Cyber24 Day conference, organized by the Polish Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs, on 2 October.


Since 2014, the Warsaw Security Forum has served as one of Europe’s foremost gatherings for dialogue on transatlantic security. Organized in collaboration with the Casimir Pulaski Foundation, this year’s edition brought together more than 2,500 participants from over 90 nations, including representatives from government, military, industry and the non-for-profit sector.

Major General Kociuba joined the ‘Frontlines of the Industrial Innovation: Ukraine as Europe’s Security Engine’. The discussion explored how lessons from the war in Ukraine can shape future of Europe’s defense production strategies, from integrating an ecosystem of startups, to consolidating critical supply chains for digital sovereignty.

During the panel, he underscored the need to embed cyber resilience into defense systems from the ground up. He also professed the importance of developing flexible institutional arrangements that can facilitate innovation, while ingraining digital fluency and resilience into everyday workplace culture.

Concluding his remarks, he reassured participants that “NCIA stands ready to support Allies and Partners in building secure, connected, and resilient capabilities for the challenges of modern warfare.”

On 2 October, Major General Kociuba addressed attendees at the Cyber24day conference. Organized by the Polish Ministries of Defence and Foreign Affairs, the event brought together experts from military and civilian entities to discuss the technological and operational lessons from the war in Ukraine.

Major General Kociuba participated in the panel ‘Connectivity, Reconnaissance, Electronic Warfare – Entering a new era of conflicts’, where participants examined current challenges in the area of communications and electronic warfare systems, emphasizing the need for interoperability among NATO forces and the integration of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence to enhance command and control processes.

Major General Kociuba outlined NCIA's perspective on communications, intelligence capabilities, and radar systems in the context of evolving operational requirements. He also underscored the critical role of cybersecurity, stressing that cyber resilience underpins the effectiveness of modern military capabilities.
