NCIA Chief of Staff visits LANDCOM in İzmir, Türkiye

From 22 to 24 September 2025, the NATO Communications and Information Agency's (NCIA) Chief of Staff (COS), Major General Krzysztof Kociuba visited NATO Allied Land Command (LANDCOM) in İzmir, Türkiye.

This marked COS' first official visit to LANDCOM since joining NCIA earlier this year. As NATO's primary land warfighting command, LANDCOM is responsible for all land operations and ground forces across the Alliance. The work of NCIA is central to facilitating LANDCOM’s secure communications and connectivity, while continuing to support the Command's interoperability via exercises, such as Steadfast Cobalt 25.

To strengthen this commitment, Major General Kociuba met with his LANDCOM counterpart, Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Muammer Alper, to discuss NCIA’s continued support to sustain LANDCOM’s growing demand for digital solutions.

Major General Kociuba also visited the Communication and Information Systems Support Unit (CSU) İzmir, and met the site's 55 NCIA personnel. The meeting discussed plans to expand NCIA's footprint in İzmir, and the team's work upholding NCIA's readiness, in support of the Alliance's wider mission. "You serve as the face of NCIA. You are the primary point of contact for one of the warfighting headquarters. LANDCOM is fortunate to have your team's expertise and dedication supporting their mission,” said Major General Kociuba.
