NATO launches the Allied Innovation Procurement Forum to accelerate technology adoption across the Alliance

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) will host the inaugural Allied Innovation Procurement Forum (AIPF) on 25 June 2026 at the NCIA campus in The Hague, Netherlands, in a hybrid format.

The Allied Innovation Procurement Forum will bring together innovation and procurement experts from Allied governments, NATO bodies and the wider public sector to exchange best practices, discuss innovative acquisition models and capability development pathways, and strengthen cooperation in accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies across the defence and security domains. The initiative supports the objectives of NATO’s Rapid Adoption Action Plan (RAAP), contributing to enhanced agility, interoperability and innovation across Allied procurement frameworks.

The programme will feature presentations and panel discussions from representatives of Allied governments, NATO organizations and public sector entities.

The Allied Innovation Procurement Forum will become an annual event jointly hosted by NCIA and the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA), alternating between the two organizations each year. The initiative aims to establish a dedicated platform for sustained collaboration between innovation and procurement communities across the Alliance, supporting faster and more effective delivery of emerging capabilities.
