NATO Edge 24
From 3 to 5 December 2024, NATO’s biggest technology and business conference took place in Tampa, Florida.
The event brought together NATO decisions-makers, industry leaders, academia, governments and militaries working on Emerging Technologies, Cybersecurity, Space, Next-Gen Networks and Communications and Information systems to discuss innovative solutions to help future-proof the Alliance and strengthen global security.
Held at the Tampa Convention Centre, the three-day conference featured high-level plenary sessions spotlighting influential speakers, breakout sessions on critical defence topics, innovative pitches, and a large exhibition area showcasing over 150 companies at the forefront of defence technology.
NATO Edge 24 was organized by NCIA, in partnership with the United States of America, this edition’s host nation. This is the first NCIA flagship event in the United States following the historic 75th NATO Anniversary Summit in Washington, D.C.
NATO Edge 22
The first NATO Edge conference, titled "Technology in Focus" was held in-person at the Lotto Expo in Mons, Belgium, from 25 to 27 October 2022. It marked the 10th anniversary of NCIA and combined two of NCIA's most successful events – the NATO Information Assurance Symposium (NIAS) and the flagship industry conference, NITEC.
Following the NATO Summit in Madrid, NATO Edge 22 featured discussions on NCIA's work on emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs), which included artificial intelligence (AI) and data.
NITEC and NIAS
Over the last 15 years, NCIA has consistently organised two successful events – NCIA's flagship industry conference, NITEC and the NATO Information Assurance Symposium (NIAS). These two conferences have now been merged into one main flagship event – NATO Edge.
NITEC was NCIA’s flagship conference which brought together senior government, military and industry leaders, as well as defence and security experts. NITEC was a launch-pad for collaboration between NATO and industry, providing a forum where they could come together to discuss and highlight the technology, innovation and capabilities that could enhance NATO.
The NATO Information Assurance Symposium (NIAS) was the NCIA’s annual cyber security conference. The event offered policy makers, academics and industry experts from across the Alliance a unique opportunity to discuss best practices in cyber security and explore innovative solutions.
