Film Friday: Fighting terrorism with biometrics
Biometrics are biological and behavioural characteristics, such as fingerprints and facial recognition. To match the growing need for biometrics and intelligence capabilities, the NCI Agency has been developing the NATO Automated Biometrics Identification System (NABIS). NABIS helps Allies securely share their gathered biometric data in a NATO environment, enhances interoperability and allows Nations to work together in an efficient manner.

NATO’s most prestigious award presented to the NCI Agency staff
The Meritorious Service Medal (MSM), NATO's highest honour, is awarded to NATO employees in recognition of their service to NATO, and their outstanding operational and non-operational work. The MSM was first awarded in 2003 and is given to fewer than 50 individual NATO employees each year.
