NSPA and NCI Agency renew partnership agreement

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) and the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) renewed their partnership agreement on 24 March 2022.

The agreement, in place since 2017, enables the two agencies to continue to work together to enhance Alliance capabilities for another ten years. On the occasion of the renewal, the NCI Agency and NSPA General Managers held in-depth discussions on areas of mutual interest, such as training and acquisition reform.

"We are pleased to continue our partnership with NSPA, which allows us to combine our respective strengths to deliver secure capabilities to the Alliance. We look forward to deepening our collaboration for the years to come," said NCI Agency General Manager Ludwig Decamps.

Under this agreement, the NCI Agency excels in offering technology and cyber security services and capabilities to NATO, while NSPA is NATO's lead organisation for multinational acquisition, support and sustainment to NATO nations. Together, the agencies use the partnership to address areas such as cyber security and secure communications and network connectivity.

NSPA and the NCI Agency also collaborate on capabilities such as the Alliance Ground Surveillance (AGS) system. NSPA is the Life Cycle Manager of the NATO AGS assets, while the NCI Agency is responsible for many of the systems and services required to operate AGS, and provides subject matter expertise to NSPA.

"With the renewal of this agreement, we reinforce our cooperation, leveraging the unique expertise of each agency and delivering synergies to the benefit of the Alliance, its Nations and Partners. I look forward to a continued strong partnership with the NCI Agency in the coming years," said NSPA General Manager Stacy Cummings.
