On 5 March, the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) held a NATO Industry Day together with the Ministry of Defence of North Macedonia and the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) in Skopje, North Macedonia.

The event gave industry in North Macedonia the opportunity to learn how to engage and do business with NATO through the NCI Agency and NSPA.

As the NCI Agency's Chief of Acquisition Jennifer Upton explained to potential industry partners in North Macedonia during her speech, "NATO relies on innovations and cutting-edge technology from across the Alliance to stay ahead of our adversaries and help NATO keep its technological edge. To be able to do so, we need guidance and support from our Nations, and more than ever, we need you, the experts, innovators and entrepreneurs from the industrial base."

"Through this Industry Day, we aim to bring together NATO and industry, providing an excellent opportunity for companies to gain a better understanding of NSPA procurement processes, rules and regulations and to discuss opportunities around acquisition, procurement, sustainment and operational support across all domains," explained NSPA General Manager, Stacy A. Cummings.

This NATO Industry Day in North Macedonia allowed event attendees to exchange on possible partnership opportunities and enjoy the mutually beneficial relationship between industry and NATO.

The Minister of Defence of North Macedonia, Slavjanka Petrovska, thanked the NCI Agency and NSPA for their readiness to help in-country companies respond through their solutions to the needs of NATO Nations and Partners. "NATO means security and stability - the two components that are a prerequisite for economic growth and a prosperous state. In conditions of disrupted security on the European continent, where the unprovoked Russian aggression against Ukraine causes economic difficulties for all countries in the world, the NATO umbrella is the one that enables every single company in North Macedonia to think about investments, development, and greater capacities. Membership in NATO is the thing that reassures investors."
