In 2011, the Agency developed, in close coordination with both ACT and the NATO HQ C3 Staff, a high-level architectural framework of NATO C3, known as the C3 Classification Taxonomy . For the first time, this provided those NATO and nation staffs working in this environment with a common framework for understanding the current, programmed and future C3 capabilities, projects and programmes. Its purpose is to support the delivery of interoperable capabilities, allowing the identification of overlaps and possibilities for re-use and providing a common basis for engaging with the nations through a common ‘language’.
The C3 Classification Taxonomy is hosted on the Allied Command Transformation Tidepedia site http://tide.act.nato.int. To gain access to the ACT hosted Tidepedia, please submit account request via e-mail to: email@example.com with the following data: First name – Organisation (including command/agency/company name and country if applicable) – Sponsor (if the organisation is non-military) – e-mail address (to which confirmation and instruction will be sent to).
