On Monday 21 January, Mr Jack Dangermond will talk to NCI Agency staff in The Hague about his vision for Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the defence sector. The NCI Agency and ACT will present where we are with the NATO CORE GIS and its plans for the future.
Mr Dangermond will provide a briefing about his GIS vision which will lead to a live demonstration of how Core GIS can be utilised by commanders and staff to support NATO’s latest concepts, including deployable JFC’s. It will also show how C2 and FAS’s can use Core GIS to geospatially enable, as examples, planning, the intelligence process and the logistics function. The presentation will therefore take us well beyond the concept of “Fighting off the Same Map” and into a possible future scenario of a common geospatial framework for NATO.

Mr Jack Dangermond is the founder and President of Esri and for 40 years has been seen as a visionary across the GIS Community. Esri is the world leader in GIS technology.
